Steve LaRue began his career in the plumbing industry in April 1995, working with and learning from Gene Rush of Rush Plumbing. After gaining experience in Wichita and earning both his Journeyman Plumber’s and Master Plumber’s licenses, Steve realized his dream of owning his own business.

In March 2005, he opened Professional Plumbing, LLC in a small shop on Sixth Avenue in El Dorado. As his business and reputation as a dependable and honest businessman grew, more space was needed. In 2007, he purchased the current location at 312 S. Main St., El Dorado.

Steve’s brother, Mike, joined the business and later earned his Journeyman Plumber’s license. Over the years, Professional Plumbing, LLC has been involved in the construction of various projects locally, including custom homes, additions, multi-family housing, and most recently, the Flint Creek Addition on the west side of El Dorado.

With his Texas Master Plumber’s license, Steve spent 18 months in 2021 and 2022 working in Lubbock, Texas, remodeling an older downtown office building into the 20-story, 98-unit Metro Tower Lofts. During this time, Mike continued serving El Dorado and surrounding areas with new construction, remodeling projects, and service work.

In today's world, where big businesses often buy out smaller, local companies, Steve is proud that Professional Plumbing, LLC remains an established, locally owned, and family-operated company. The business will continue to serve the community for years to come.
